Finding answers to a nations tragedy
In the midst of one of the most challenging times in our lives as we respond to the global pandemic an unspeakable tragedy has shaken our communities. We have been following the daily reports of the toll of COVID-19 and trying to understand how a microscopic virus can so quickly and dramatically change our reality and threaten the lives of our families. We are trying to acknowledge something even more incomprehensible than a contagion and farther from our grasp of understanding as we have all learned about the incredibly senseless acts of violence perpetrated by one human being in our beautiful province.
Advocate Media journalist and Hub Now editor, Raissa Tetanish, who is based in Colchester County has been following the events that has unfolded as one of the most devastating mass shootings in Canadian history. These are the stories that no media outlet ever wants to tell but we are here to do our best to bring factual, local and meaningful coverage to the communities that we are proud to serve.
We will continue to bring all of the updates and stories related to this tragic event to our Advocate Media digital sites under the title Nova Scotia’s Sorrow. From all of the Advocate Media family, we send our heartfelt sympathies to the families and friends of all of the victims and salute the courage of all of our first responders who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe by putting their lives before all others every day.
